DUNOON,
SCOTLAND |
The grace of the Scottish countryside brings to mind the vastness of an ancient land that has been formed by an environment whose beauty and endurance spans proudly through time and history. From the far northern tips of the Upper Highlands, enriched with its Gaelic traditions, to the southerly borders shaped by the many Lochs and Glens, live a people of fierce independence, which still thrives in the hearts and minds of its people to this day, and where a heritage of tradition and clan identity is vigorously preserved.
One such place is Dunoon, Scotland, which rests on the westerly shores of the Firth of Clyde, on the Cowal peninsula, whose history is flavored with the feuding clans of the Lamonts and the Campbells.
For those who have graced the shores of Dunoon, Scotland, and visited the many Loch's, traveled along the coastal landscapes, roamed the rolling Marshlands, trekked the sheep filled countryside, included within this site are Photographs of the region taken mostly between 1988 and 1990. It is hoped that the fond memories this Author has of Scotland will be of interest to those who have had the opportunity to visit there, or who may be seeing it for the first time. Enjoy!
